
RH2T/RA20 INVERTER w/ECONET THERMOSTAT
Common Issues
- Thermostat display blank; no cooling: (Please proceed in order)
- Verify circuit breakers are in the ON position
- Locate circuit breaker panel.
- Locate breakers labeled ‘AHU’ (typically 17*19 or 21*23 for GENTRY Homes).
- If breakers are TRIPPED (middle), move to OFF position then ON. IF breaker trips, contact your A/C Tech.
- If breakers are OFF, move to ON position. IF breaker trips, contact your A/C Tech.
- If breakers are ON, proceed to 1.b
- Verify safety float switch is not engaged
- Locate the attic and access it with a ladder.
- Locate float switch (EZ Trap).
- Remove head (black part) from cup. Verify if water is present.
- WATER? Empty water and proceed to 1.c
- NO WATER? Proceed to 1.c
- Verify condensate drain is not clogged
- Locate the attic and access it with a ladder.
- Locate condensate drain trap (Black-insulated ¾” PVC pipe). Remove ¾” PVC cap. With a flashlight, verify if there is a clog.
- If the trap is clogged, proceed to clean with a wet/dry vacuum.
- If the trap does not appear to be clogged, verify by pouring approx. one quart of water into the drain.
- If water overflows, the drain is clogged further down the line and must be cleared.
- If the condensate drain has been cleared and water is flowing normally, call your a/c tech
- “The outdoor unit turns on, but there is no air coming out of the vents.”
- With a ladder or step stool, verify airflow from a supply vent (adjustable louvers).
- Is the airflow WEAK? Check the air filter.
- Is the airflow NON-EXISTENT? There may be an issue with your indoor fan motor.
- “Everything runs, but the house doesn’t get cool or not as cool as before”
- Verify system has been maintained
- Check air filter - replace if dirty
- Check condenser coil is dirty - wash with water if dirty.
- Verify all supply vents are open
- System is low on refrigerant or compressor capacity has been reduced. Call your A/C tech.
- “I am getting error codes on the thermostat”
- Call your A/C tech and specify the error code displayed.
- Most error codes that will be displayed are not repairable by non-technicians.
