Common Issues

1. “My indoor unit blows warm air”
1. Verify system has been properly maintained
1. Verify air filters have been washed.
2. Verify condenser coil is clean.
1. If dirty, gently wash with water.
3. Verify blower wheel is clean
1. With system in OFF mode, manually open louver and verify blower is clean.
1. If dirty, contact your A/C tech for cleaning.
4. If system has been maintained, see 1.b
2. System may be low on refrigerant charge or have an electrical/mechanical issue. Contact your A/C tech.
2. “My unit cools, but there is a musty smell”
1. Verify system has been properly maintained
1. Verify air filters have been washed.
2. Verify blower wheel is clean
1. With system in OFF mode, manually open louver and verify blower is clean.
1. If dirty, contact your A/C tech for cleaning.
3. “My remote controller doesn’t work”
1. Verify battery condition
1. Locate battery location on remote.
1. Check for battery corrosion on terminals.
1. Clean corrosion
2. Replace batteries
3. There is no corrosion and batteries have been replaced? Proceed to 3.b
2. There may be an issue with the remote circuitry or the receiver on the indoor unit. Contact your A/C tech.
